Air Transportation

Chicago is a world-class destination, centrally located within the U.S., and easily accessible from all over the world. Most major airlines offer direct flights. If you're flying to Chicago for the Summit, you'll most likely arrive at one of Chicago's two international airports.

Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) is approximately 45 minutes from downtown Chicago and the Swissôtel.

Chicago Midway International Airport (MDW) is approximately 30 minutes from downtown Chicago and the Swissôtel.

Please note: Travel times will increase during rush hour periods.

Ground Transportation

Taxi Service from the Airport

Taxis are plentiful throughout the city of Chicago. Taxi service at Midway and O’Hare airports is located on the lower level outside of the baggage claim area. Please make sure to use the designated taxi stands. Taxis do not offer flat rates into the city.

Rideshare Providers

Rideshares are a popular, economical mode of transportation in the city. Be sure to download the provider’s app before your trip.

Public Transit

The Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) bus and elevated ("L")/subway train lines offer convenient, easy transportation throughout the city and to major attractions. The CTA website offers a valuable overview of transit services, a guide to the system and instructions for first-time riders.

More information about ground transportation to the Swissôtel can be found on their website.

COVID-19 Information

ACS COVID-19 Vaccination and Mask Requirement Summary

All attendees, including exhibitors and staff, must show proof of COVID-19 vaccination (completion of their primary series) or a negative COVID test result taken within 24 hours prior to the start of the meeting at the Registration Desk in order to pick up an attendee badge. Attendees can show a photo or the result of their vaccination proof or their own rapid test. ACS will not have/sell rapid tests at the Registration Desk. All attendees must claim their own badge at the Registration Desk onsite.

ACS strongly encourages that masks be worn by all participants at all times at the meeting event unless actively dining or speaking at a microphone.

Please complete a self-check health screening prior to attending the meeting, and if you are sick, please do not come to the meeting. ACS will continually monitor and modify our policy depending on state/local restrictions.  Please visit Welcome | ACS (facs.org) for information on COVID-19, Masking, Vaccination, and Testing information.
