Surgeons and Engineers: A Dialogue on Surgical Simulation

The objective of the annual Surgeons and Engineers: A Dialogue on Surgical Simulation Meeting is to provide a novel forum for the exchange of challenges and potentially applicable technologies between surgeons, surgical educators, engineers, and scientists. Surgeons and surgical educators will present needs and challenges encountered in their delivery of surgical education. Academic and industry engineers and scientists will have the opportunity to present existing technologies—or those in development—that have the potential to be applied to and successfully address the presented challenges. Through this exchange, we endeavor to promote future collaboration between the surgical and engineering communities.

The annual Surgeons and Engineers: A Dialogue on Surgical Simulation returns as a full-day meeting on Wednesday, March 13 at the ACS Headquarters, Chicago, with additional workshops on Tuesday.

This meeting will serve as a venue for surgeons, engineers, scientists, and the Annual ACS Surgical Simulation Summit attendees to continue the dialogue between the medical simulation and engineering communities. The Annual ACS AEI Surgical Simulation Summit will directly follow on Thursday, March 14 through Saturday, March 16, in Chicago, IL.
