Rami Kantar, MD, MPH, a surgical resident at New York University Langone Health and recipient of the ACS/Pfizer 2021 Resident Volunteer Award will share his experience in addressing surgical care disparities to help improve patient care.
At 8:00 am CT, on Thursday, August 25, the newest edition of the ACS Trainees Making a Global Impact webinar series will be held. In “Building Sustainable Global Surgical Programs Through Simulation-Based Education,” Dr. Kantar will discuss global disparities in surgical care, global disparities in access to cleft care, and simulation-based cleft care education for low-to-middle income countries as a sustainable capacity-building initiative. Nader Hanna, MD, FACS, Chair of the ACS International Relations Committee, will moderate the webinar.
