Registration is open to all physicians and individuals in the healthcare field and includes a name badge, program pocket guide, and entrance to the exhibits and all sessions*, other than postgraduate courses and Meet-the-Expert sessions, which are ticketed and require a $25 fee.
*The following sessions are included with your registration for the in-person Clinical Congress and are not ticketed.
Registering for these sessions does not guarantee seating within the course. Seating is provided on a first-come, first-served basis until the meeting room is full. Registering for the in-person meeting includes access to all the virtual content.
In-person attendees are able to experience the onsite program and may also register for postgraduate courses if availability permits. They also will have access to live-streamed Named Lectures and select panel presentations, as well as all on-demand recordings, which will be available for most sessions within an hour after being presented.
Virtual attendees will have access to selected live-streamed and on-demand content. View a full list of available sessions.
All attendees have the opportunity to claim AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™, earn self-assessment credits, and meet other regulatory requirements through May 1, 2023.

*A Retired ACS Fellow is an individual who has notified the College, meets the ACS definition of Retired, has been granted Retired status, and is officially listed in the ACS database as Retired. The ACS definition of a Retired member is a surgeon who is not in the active practice of providing surgical or nonsurgical patient care, participating in funded research, or performing compensated teaching or administrative duties. Questions about Retired member status should be directed to dues@facs.org.
**All nonmembers who pay the applicable Clinical Congress registration fees will have their membership application fees waived if they apply for American College of Surgeons membership onsite at the Clinical Congress.
†Additionally, the American College of Surgeons offers discounted registration fees for both member and nonmember residents and medical students. To take advantage of the discount, nonmember residents and medical students must submit a letter verifying their educational status at the time of registration. Residents should obtain a letter from their program director; students should contact their department chairs.
^Please see this list for country income status as advised by the World Bank.
Guests may register for the Clinical Congress by paying the applicable registration fee. All Guest registrants must be accompanied by a Clinical Congress Registrant of another category. The Guest registration fee entitles you to attend scientific sessions, view the technical and scientific exhibits, and use the shuttle bus service.

The American College of Surgeons requires that all professional registrants, faculty, exhibitors, guests, and staff be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to meeting attendance, unless otherwise prohibited by applicable law. ACS has partnered with CLEAR Health Pass for COVID-19 status verification. To pick up a Clinical Congress 2022 badge, registrants must show proof of full COVID-19 vaccination by displaying the CLEAR app “Go” screen (or daily negative test). An event code for the CLEAR app will be provided for all ACS attendees prior to arrival.
It is strongly recommended that attendees wear a mask at all times when not eating, drinking, or speaking.
These recommendations are subject to change based on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention transmission rate for San Diego in the period prior to Clinical Congress.
