Ensuring the most advanced surgical care in pediatrics
The Children’s Surgery Verification (CSV) Quality Improvement Program, commonly referred to as the CSV Program, specifically addresses the surgical care of infants and children. The intent of the CSV program is to match children’s specific providers and resources to the individual needs of every child needing surgical care.
This document details the resource standards, quality improvement and safety processes, data collection, and verification process. The program is based upon the standards detailed here that define the resources believed necessary to achieve optimal patient outcomes for children’s surgical care regardless of location in a community hospital, stand-alone children’s hospital, specialty hospital, or children’s hospital within a hospital.
For verification, your center must meet all the standards and intend to actively pursue verification prior to submitting an application. Download the appropriate level of the Pre-Review Questionnaire.
