Surgeons Sowing Hope

See How Surgeons Are Sowing Hope for Their Colleagues, Patients

October 11, 2022

The theme of Clinical Congress 2022 is Surgeons Sowing Hope, selected by ACS President Julie A. Freischlag, MD, FACS, DFSVS, who asked all members of the surgical community to enhance recovery, elevate healing, and spread hope for patients, communities, teams, and themselves.

Throughout her Presidential year, Dr. Freischlag has been speaking with surgeons and ACS members from all levels of experience, from surgical residents to ACS Officers and Officers-Elect, about how they have worked to sow hope this year. These optimistic surgeons have discussed topics, including a focus on return to cancer screening, improving resident well-being, getting engaged with community health, showing trainees the joy of surgery, and much more.

You can review previous conversations and see new ones by visiting the Surgeons Sowing Hope YouTube playlist, which will remain available for viewing to help all surgeons see the possibilities of how they can sow hope today and into the future.
