Clinical Congress 2022

Multipart Didactic Courses Connect to In-Person Clinical Congress Attendance

May 3, 2022

Clinical Congress 2022, October 16–20, in San Diego, CA, will offer some of the best surgical education and networking available for surgeons of all career levels. This year’s event will include the in-person portions of 16 multipart longitudinal Didactic Courses, incorporating best practices in education and training.

Part 1 coursework will be made available a few weeks in advance of Clinical Congress, and Part 2 will consist of a live, in-person course during Clinical Congress. Several Didactic Courses also will include a Part 3, consisting of a second live and interactive Zoom panel discussion several weeks after Clinical Congress. This multipart approach will enable learning activities to be spaced over an extended period to promote reflection, application, and retention of course content. It will also provide participants with increased opportunities for interaction with the course faculty.

The 16 Didactic Courses are:

  • Emergency General Surgery Annual Update
  • Global Health Competencies for Surgeons: Cognitive and System Skills
  • Surgical Education: Principles and Practice
  • Practical Guide to Management of Benign Breast Disease
  • Annual Surgical Critical Care Update
  • Designing and Running a Prospective Surgical Clinical Trial
  • Quality Systems-Based Practice: Measure Twice, Cut Once! Optimizing Surgical Systems of Care
  • 2022 Critical Care and Trauma Coding
  • Annual Trauma Update
  • 2022 Mastering General Surgery Coding
  • General Surgery Review Course
  • Operative Techniques for the Management of Complex Injuries: Pure Surgery and Just the Facts!
  • Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation in Adults
  • Diagnosis and Treatment of Anal Intraepithelial Neoplasia: What Surgeons Need to Know
  • Total Mesorectal Excision (TME) for Rectal Cancer
  • Junior Surgical Informatics: Career Development Course
