The multidisciplinary Commission on Cancer (CoC) seeks applications from early career ACS Fellows interested in advancing the priorities of the CoC to improve the quality of cancer care delivery across the US. Applications are encouraged from women, underrepresented in medicine individuals, and others of diverse backgrounds.
Membership on the CoC requires a commitment to serve on, attend, and contribute to the work of one of five working committees that meets quarterly and to attend two in-person meetings in the spring and the fall (travel is supported by the CoC). We are seeking to fill six vacancies beginning in October.
Interested applicants should be affiliated with a CoC-accredited cancer program and are encouraged to visit the ACS Committee Openings web page, review the Fact Sheet to become familiar with CoC activities, and apply for membership via Survey Monkey by Sunday, May 15. In addition to completing the survey, send your curriculum vitae in PDF format to Julia Francescatti at jfrancescatti@facs.org by the same date.
We will confirm receipt of your application and CV. The CoC Nominating Committee reviews all applications and contacts those selected in the fall. Initial terms are for 3 years beginning in October.
