The recently initiated ACS Senior Fellows Society (SFS) and American Pediatric Surgical Association (APSA) are partnering to present a webinar, “Practicalities for Retirement: Details Every Surgeon Should Know,” 1:00–2:00 pm CT on July 23, on key administrative and credentialing considerations surgeons should explore when transitioning away from active practice. Topics will include practice contracts, hospital privileges, malpractice coverage, state medical licenses, and Board certification options.
The session will provide a comprehensive checklist covering these topics, along with financial planning and health insurance considerations introduced in the first SFS webinar.

Surgeons interested in learning about, planning for, or currently transitioning out of practice, or who have recently retired, should consider attending this session. While this webinar will highlight considerations unique to pediatric surgeons, the topics discussed are relevant and valuable for surgeons of all disciplines.
