Quality and Safety Conference

Credit Claiming

The 2023 ACS Quality and Safety Conference will offer attendees continuing education credits for their participation in this activity.

  

Continuing Medical Education (CME) Credits

The American College of Surgeons is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.  The American College of Surgeons will offer a maximum of 27.00 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ for the live event.  Included in this total are the 8 credit hours being offered for the QI Basics Preconference Workshop and the QI Basics Residents Preconference Workshop  

Continuing Nursing Education (CNE) Credits

This continuing nursing education activity was approved by the American College of Surgeons, which is a provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing (Provider # CEP 17134).  The 2023 ACS Quality and Safety Conference has been approved to award a maximum of 27.00 Continuing Nursing Education (CNE) contact hours per attendee for the live event.  Included in this total are the 8 credit hours being offered for the QI Basics Preconference Workshop and the QI Basics Residents Preconference Workshop.  

Continuing Education (CE) Credits

This activity has been applied for by the National Cancer Registrars Association (NCRA) to offer Continuing Education (CE) Credits.  We have applied for a maximum of 7.50 CE hours of which 1 hour meets the Category A requirement for the 2023 ACS Quality and Safety Conference

Certificate of Completion

Conference attendees can claim a Certificate of Completion for their participation in the 2023 ACS Quality and Safety Conference.  Hours will be awarded to attendees based on the extent of their participation in the activity.  Many credentialing boards for healthcare professionals will accept a Certificate of Completion for conversion of hours to the specific type of credit required.
