National Trauma Data Bank® (NTDB®)

Contribute to the largest aggregation of U.S. trauma registry data ever assembled

National Trauma Data Bank® (NTDB®)

Data Save Lives

The more we know, the more we share, the more patients can recover to full health. It’s that simple, that profound. This is the purpose of the NTDB. We are the largest aggregation of US trauma registry data ever assembled. As a participant, you not only contribute to the growing knowledge base for trauma research, but you also gain access to a variety of reports you can use to benefit your hospital, including hospital benchmark reports, data quality reports, research data sets, and more.

NTDB Annual Reports

Though retired in 2016, our Annual Adult and Pediatric Reports contain descriptive information about trauma patients, including demographics, injury information, and outcomes dating back to 2004.

Participant Use File (PUF)

The TQP PUF contains all records sent to NTDB for specified admission years. It includes data submitted on pediatric and adult patients from Level I, II, III, IV, V, or undesignated trauma centers.
