Call for Posters

2027 ATLS Global Symposium in Chicago, IL | March 12-14, 2027

Join colleagues from across the ATLS and trauma community in Chicago next March to share research that advances trauma education and showcase innovative and meaningful work from ATLS and trauma education programs. We invite ATLS coordinators, educators, clinicians, and other members of the trauma education community to submit posters for the 2027 Global Symposium Poster Session through one of two submission tracks: Best Practices or Scientific Research. Accepted posters will be presented in person during the poster session at the ATLS Global Symposium, March 12-14, 2027, in Chicago.

The submission period is now open! Submit your posters by December 1, 2026.

Submission Tracks: Best Practices and Scientific Research

Best Practices Examples

  • Program innovations in ATLS and other trauma education courses
  • Lessons learned from new ATLS promulgations
  • Quality improvement initiatives that strengthen trauma education programs

Scientific Research Examples

  • Evidence-based studies related to trauma care and education
  • Clinical outcomes associated with ATLS-driven protocols
  • Data-driven outcomes from ATLS or related educational interventions
Submission Requirements
  • Select poster track – Best Practices or Scientific Research
  • Poster title
  • Author name(s), roles, and credentials
  • Keywords
  • For Scientific Research posters:
    • Abstract (maximum 250 words)
    • Methods, results, and conclusions of the research
  • For Best Practices posters:
    • Overview of the program approach or intervention (maximum 250 words)
    • Lessons learned and/or outcomes of program or intervention
  • Optional: Visual mock-up, diagram, or illustrative graphic
Presenter Requirements for Accepted Posters
  • At least one author must register and attend in person to present the poster at the ATLS Global Symposium poster session in March 2027 in Chicago.  
  • Presenters are responsible for poster printing, mounting, and removal.
  • Authors will be asked to submit an electronic copy of the poster. Authors grant a non-exclusive license to share e-posters on the ACS website and/or social media.
  • Final instructions for the poster session will be sent to the authors of accepted submissions prior to the Global Symposium.
