Applications for membership are now closed and will reopen in early 2027 for 2028 consideration. Qualified surgeons are invited to apply for appointment to the Central Committee on Trauma (COT). Applicants should demonstrate expertise and a strong commitment to the care of injured patients and must be Fellows of the American College of Surgeons.
Applicants not selected during a given review period must submit a new application to be considered in a future cycle. Applications are reviewed on an annual basis, with the review cycle taking place each year between June and July. Applicants selected during a given review cycle will begin an initial three-year term the following spring.
