SSR Participant Update - February 2022

February 7, 2022

Dear SSR Participant,

Thank you for your continued participation in the American College of Surgeons (ACS) Surgeon Specific Registry™ (SSR).

2022 CPT and ICD-10 codes

All CPT and ICD-10 codes are properly updated in the SSR.

Participating in the SSR PII 2022 allows you to obtain CME Credits

Many SSR surgeons have already taken advantage of the new SSR Practice Improvement Initiative (SSR PII) - Quality Case Data Review and Reflection allowing surgeons to obtain Continuing Medical Education (CME) credit. You can still enroll and participate as incremental CME credit can be obtained. The SSR PII helps all surgeons to continually collect and review their relevant quality case data, including outcomes data, identifying trends, gaps, and performance improvement opportunities. Surgeons will compare their individual data (SSR Benchmarking report) to aggregated SSR and NSQIP data real-time with the purpose of enhancing the quality of surgical care. Learn more here.

Register and Enroll Now:

  1. Register now for the SSR PII – BASICS Webinar for January 2022.

Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. Of the AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ listed above, a maximum of 0 credits meet the requirements for Self-Assessment.

Making the Most of the SSR

In addition, the ACS SSR is continuously offering several educational Webinars including Q & A sessions during 2022 for surgeons who want to make the most out of the SSR. Learn about new features and opportunities in the SSR and how to review, reflect, and learn from your case data, ask a question ahead of time. All users are welcome, no matter if you are a new or returning user of the SSR. Register here. Did you know, many useful educational SSR resources can be found in the SSR Library.

For any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the SSR team at SSR@facs.org or 1-312-202-5408.
