American College Of Surgeons - Inspiring Quality: Highest Standards, Better Outcomes

Journal of the American College of Surgeons

The Journal of the American College of Surgeons (JACS) is the official scientific publication of the American College of Surgeons (ACS). Formerly Surgery, Gynecology & Obstetrics (1905–1994), JACS has the goal of providing its readership the highest quality rapid retrieval of information relevant to surgeons.

JACS is a monthly peer-reviewed journal publishing original contributions on all aspects of surgery. These contributions include original scientific articles, collective reviews, experimental investigations with clear clinical relevance, and a surgeon-at-work section (online only). JACS is a membership benefit for all active ACS Fellows. Retirees and medical students have access to JACS online. Access to JACS CME online is available.

If you are an ACS Fellow who needs to change your address, please call 800-621-4111 (312-202-5277 outside U.S./Canada) or visit your Member Profile to make the changes.
