Take Advantage of Our Integrated Presentation Format for 2023 ACS-AEI MORE Track

The 2023 ACS AEI MORE Track will be on the plenary session agenda this year for the annual Surgical Simulation Summit. The goal of this new format is to provide inclusive, seamless programming to all attendees with an interprofessional perspective.

Two sessions are being offered in 2023.

Team R.E.S.P.E.C.T.

Thursday, March 2, 11:30am-12:30pm Central

The interprofessional members of the Administrative and Management Committee will share lessons learned and best practices in relation to teambuilding. Concepts of Team Respect will be explored, including:

  • Relationships
  • Engagement
  • Satisfaction
  • Professional Development
  • Equity
  • Communication
  • Trust

Learning Objectives

  1. Share best practices on team building from multiple ACS-AEIs
  2. Share tools and resources that have been successfully integrated into multiple ACS-AEIs
  3. Describe some of the lessons learned in the creation of Team RESPECT.

Do It Yourself Workshop – Model Building

Friday, March 3, 10:30am-12:15pm Central

This interactive workshop session will have participants in small groups rotate through model building stations for four common surgical procedures, which will be paired to demonstrate their potential symbiotic relationship to each other.

Learning Objectives

  1. Identify three resources for obtaining common surgical model building materials
  2. Discuss the process for determining required characteristics when creating models
  3. Participate in construction of models at one of the four stations
