Submit Your Workshop Proposals for the Surgical Simulation Summit

Do you have a passion for teaching? The ACS-AEI Program Committee is currently accepting proposals for two workshops occurring at the ACS Surgical Simulation Summit. Present your work to share your expertise with the ACS-AEI Consortium, expand your network, and put your talent on display.

Fun Workshop Competition

AEIs are always looking for new ways to develop the skills of their faculty. This workshop aims to generate fun and innovative tools that can be used by faculty at AEIs for training using simulation. We are looking for proposals that are innovative, scientifically sound, incorporate principles of engaging faculty development, have the ability to be broadly adopted, and, importantly, are fun.

Do It Yourself (DIY) Model-Building Workshop

This hands-on workshop gives participants the opportunity to rotate through model building stations for common surgical procedures. We are looking for low- and high-fidelity models that can be easily replicated at other AEIs for training using simulation. Preference will be given to those models that optimize accessibility, affordability, and ease-of-use.

The deadline for submissions is 11:59 pm CT on December 15, 2023.
