Still Time to Submit Abstracts for the 2024 Annual ACS Surgical Simulation Summit

The ACS-AEI call for abstracts submission deadline is 11:59pm CT Tuesday, September 12. The AEI Program and Review Committee will notify presenting authors by Friday, December 8, 2023 of their decisions on who will be able to present during the March 14-15, 2024 Annual Surgical Simulation Summit.

The ACS-AEI call for abstracts is meant to highlight the best simulation education and training research in the field. Anyone who is involved in simulation-based education or surgical simulation-based training is encouraged to submit an abstract for presentation.

This year’s Annual Surgical Simulation Summit will introduce a new abstract category, Medical Student, to support young investigators early in their careers. They can choose from several categories to allow for flexibility in their investigations. Also new this year will be a category called Simulation Program Management and Operations; selected abstracts may be presented as part of the 2024 MORE Track.

All ACS-AEI abstract submissions must be from original research, not previously published or presented before the Surgical Simulation Summit. Submitters are required to confirm the originality of their research to complete an abstract submission. It is also expected that all work submitted and accepted will be presented at the Surgical Simulation Summit.

Review the 2024 abstract categories and FAQs on our meeting webpage. If you have any questions on the abstract submission and review process, Contact Amy Johnson at ajohnson@facs.org or 312-202-5415 for more information on the abstract submission and review process.
