The following are important reminders for meeting compliance with the CoC standards, Optimal Resources for Cancer Care (2020 Standards), in calendar year (CY) 2025.
- Standard 2.2: Cancer Liaison Physician: This standard has been updated to clarify that the CLP reports required by this standard cannot also satisfy the requirements for Standard 6.4: Rapid Cancer Reporting System: Data Submission.
- Standard 4.8: Survivorship Program: This standard has been updated to clarify that survivorship services must address the needs of cancer survivors who have completed their first course of treatment. Services evaluated to meet this standard cannot be single events and must be available to patients throughout the CY or at specific intervals during the calendar year.
- CoC Operative Standards: Standards 5.3-5.8: Programs must achieve at least 80% compliance in CY 2025 and in future years.
- CoC Operative Standards: Standards 5.3-5.6: For site visits occurring in 2025 or 2026, a site may meet CoC Standards 5.3-5.6 through an alternative compliance pathway by performing an internal audit of its compliance with these standards. For more information on the alternative compliance pathway, review the CoC Implementation Page.
- Standard 6.4: Rapid Cancer Reporting System: Data Submission: This standard has been updated to clarify that the reports required by this standard cannot also satisfy the requirements for Standard 2.2: Cancer Liaison Physician.
- Standard 7.1: Quality Measures: This standard will not be rated during the CY 2025. Although programs are not being rated on this activity, they are still expected to review the updated quality measures and discuss the measures with their cancer committees.
