The Cancer Surgery Standards Program (CSSP) recently hosted the webinar “Understanding the Evidence Behind CoC Standard 5.8 on Pulmonary Resection.” Thank you to the speakers and to everyone who was able to attend. We hope you gained valuable insights and a better understanding of the evidence behind CoC Standard 5.8.

This webinar is applicable to general surgeons and surgical oncologists performing lung cancer surgery at CoC-accredited cancer programs. The recording is now available on YouTube for those who were unable to attend the webinar.

September is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month. According to the American Cancer Society Cancer Facts & Figures 2023, there will be an estimated 288,300 new cases of prostate cancer diagnosed in the US and 34,700 men will die from the disease this year.
