Smooth Leadership Transition

By now, most of you have seen the announcement of my plans to retire from my current position as Medical Director of ACS Cancer Programs.  It has been a great joy and privilege to be a surgeon and an honor to be a part of the College, working besides brilliant and dedicated professionals in the Cancer Programs. Words cannot express the depth of my gratitude for all you give and all you do to improve the care of the person with cancer. From discovery and research, to establishing and implementing best cancer practices - it is remarkable. I will miss all of you and the important work we do together.

The search for the new Medical Director has been announced and the selection process will soon get underway.  ACS leadership, Cancer Program staff and I are fully dedicated to a smooth transition during the next several months and in the meantime, we will continue with the work we set forth in the declaration of our 2023 goals.
