AESOP Study Featured in March Bulletin

In the March issue of the Bulletin of the American College of Surgeons, the Assessing the Effectiveness and Significance of the Operative Standards Program (AESOP) study (R01 CA288625, funded by the National Cancer Institute) is discussed.

The study aims to assess the implementation of the CoC Operative Standards, identify barriers to implementation, and evaluate how the operative standards impact short-term cancer outcomes. The article features early study insights and highlights the potential impact that future findings may have on cancer surgery.
