Cancer Surgery Standards Program

Surgical Trainee Perspectives on the CoC Operative Standards

February 20, 2025

The Cancer Surgery Standards Program (CSSP) Education Committee and the Assessing the Effectiveness and Significance of the Operative Standards (AESOP) grant team have developed a survey to assess surgical residents’ and fellows’ knowledge of the CoC Operative Standards (Standards 5.3 through 5.8 of the Optimal Resources for Cancer Care (2020 Standards)).

These survey responses will serve to evaluate prior educational efforts and identify opportunities for resources to support the surgical community in implementing these standards. Please share this survey with the residents and surgical oncology fellows at your institution. We anticipate this survey will take approximately 5-10 minutes to complete. All responses will be kept anonymous. The aggregated responses will be shared within the CSSP and the surgical community at large. Please submit your response no later than March 15.
