Bulletin Article Explores Pandemic’s Effects on Cancer Care

An article in the February issue of the Bulletin of the American College of Surgeons, Surgeons Seek to Understand the Pandemic’s Long-Term Effects on Cancer Care, reviews the effects of COVID-19 on cancer care. A growing body of research, much of it led by ACS members using the National Cancer Database (NCDB), demonstrates the distinct ways the pandemic disrupted cancer care and data reporting, and why continued research into these interruptions will be critical for understanding how to improve cancer care in the wake of future pandemics or public health emergencies.
