Apply for ACS Surgeons as Leaders: From Operating Room to Boardroom Course

Today’s medical environment is challenging, complex, and unpredictable, and with the demands on leaders escalating, the need for leadership has never been greater. To meet this need, the ACS offers the Surgeons as Leaders: From Operating Room to Boardroom course, which is intended for surgeons in any practice setting (academic or community) who currently serve in leadership positions or aspire to such positions. The ACS Surgeons as Leaders course will take place December 11–14 in Durham, NC.

The course is intended to help surgeons:

• Lead and sustain change
• Build and maintain effective teams
• Change culture, resolve conflict, and balance demands within larger environments
• Lead oneself with insight regarding personal effectiveness
• Translate the principles of leadership into action
