Each year, the ACS hosts Surgeons and Engineers: A Dialogue on Surgical Simulation Meeting, bringing together surgeons and engineers to explore advancements in simulation technology with the aim of redefining approaches to innovative surgical education. Registration for the 2026 meeting, March 10–11 in Chicago, Illinois, is now open.
The objective of this meeting is to provide a novel forum for the exchange of challenges and potentially applicable technologies among surgeons, surgical educators, engineers, and scientists. Surgeons and surgical educators will present needs and challenges encountered in their delivery of surgical education. Academic and industry engineers and scientists will have the opportunity to present existing technologies—or those in development—that have the potential to be applied to and successfully address presented challenges.
