Apply by May 1 for ACS Archives Fellowship

March 26, 2024

Applications are now being accepted for the 2024–2025 Archives Fellowship. The fellowship offers a $2,000 stipend in support of surgical history research that capitalizes on the archival resources of the ACS. These include records at ACS Headquarters in Chicago and/or the Orr Collection in Omaha, Nebraska.

The application process is open to all members. Applicants should have a strong background in history, as evidenced by peer-reviewed publication, and must demonstrate how the ACS collections are integral to the research project completion.

The recipient is expected to present his/her research at the History of Surgery Community Breakfast at Clinical Congress 2025 in Chicago and will be invited to present the research as an article in the Bulletin of the American College of Surgeons.

Read the guidelines for submission, and apply by May 1, 2024.
