Apply for Special ACS Fellowships, Scholarships by June 16

The ACS offers several special opportunity scholarships and fellowships for ACS members that provide funding for research, attendance at ACS events and conferences, and other professional development opportunities. View the following fellowship opportunities and apply for them by June 16.

2026 Healy Traveling Memorial Fellowship
Mentorship is one of the hallmarks of academic and professional success. This program is intended to help young surgeons develop new ideas, innovative approaches, and well-informed attitudes about safety, quality, and professionalism via visits with successful mentors.

2026 John M. Daly Traveling Fellowship
A John M. Daly, MD, FACS Traveling Fellowship will be awarded every other year, in the amount of $5,000. The Fellowship will be awarded to young surgeon ACS member with a strong interest in the treatment of cancer patients.

2026 Nizar N. Oweida Fellowship
The Nizar N. Oweida, MD, FACS Fellowship supports travel to Clinical Congress or an approved personal research plan for a Fellow or Associate Fellow serving a rural or small community.
