The National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC) has launched new accreditation standardsOptimal Resources for Breast Care (2024 Standards). You can download the standards now.

All NAPBC-accredited programs are required to comply with the new standards no later than January 1, 2024; until that date, the current standards, implemented in 2018, remain in effect.

Optimal Resources for Breast Care (2024 Standards) features extensive revisions focused on the patient care journey, from screening and prevention to diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship, with an emphasis on providing value-based care with multidisciplinary support.

The 2024 Standards Crosswalk offers a high-level overview of the new standards alignment, and the compliance measures found in the new standards, while the 2024 Standards Changelog provides a detailed overview of the revisions and clarifications made.

Note that the Crosswalk and Changelog documents are not a substitute for reading the NAPBC standards in their entirety.

You can submit questions related to Optimal Resources for Breast Care (2024 Standards) on the CAnswer Forum. In addition, you can watch a recording of a webinar introducing the Standards.
