The Journal of the American College of Surgeons (JACS) has expanded its topic-specific collections to include a new option for finding specific content related to your areas of interest or research: Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.

This collection showcases recent advances in metabolic and bariatric surgery, highlighting innovations in operative techniques, perioperative care, and long-term metabolic outcomes. The featured studies examine the comparative effectiveness of bariatric procedures, patient selection and risk stratification, same-day discharge, revisional operation, and emerging technologies including robotic surgery, artificial intelligence, and magnetic compression anastomosis.

Collectively, these articles underscore the continued evolution of evidence-based, multidisciplinary approaches to optimize safety, long-term outcomes, and access to care for patients with obesity.

Access to JACS is a benefit of ACS membership, and members can sign up to be notified every time a new item is added to these timely and growing collections.

Other JACS Collections include articles in surgical innovation, cardiovascular surgery, breast cancer, and mental health and burnout, among others, as well as a collection that provides all articles that provide CME.
