Register for Free Webinar on Technical Standards for Thyroid Cancer Surgery

The ACS Cancer Surgery Standards Program, in collaboration with the American Association of Endocrine Surgeons, will host a free, 90-minute educational webinar on Monday, May 20 (5:00–6:30 pm CT), for surgeons who perform or who are interested in thyroid cancer surgery.

Presenters will include Elizabeth Grubbs, MD, FACS, from Houston, Texas; Tracy S. Wang, MD, MPH, FACS, from Milwaukee, Wisconsin; David Hughes, MD, FACS, from Ann Arbor, Michigan; Julie McGill, MD, FACS, from Atlanta, Georgia; Linwah Yip, MD, FACS, from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; and Mark E. Zafereo, MD, FACS, from Houston, Texas.

They will discuss evidence-based operative standards for thyroid surgery as outlined in the Operative Standards for Cancer Surgery, Volume 2: Thyroid, Gastric, Rectum, Esophagus, Melanoma. The webinar also will highlight preoperative considerations for surgical planning, standards for thyroidectomy and lymphadenectomy, and insights into clinical management of thyroid cancer using case studies.
