Enrollment remains open for four ACS programs designed to support surgical residency training from internship through senior residency. Together, these assessment and curriculum offerings provide program directors with an integrated approach to measuring readiness, strengthening clinical decision-making, and reinforcing essential content across the continuum of training.

For PGY-1 Residents

The ACS Entering Resident Readiness Assessment® (ACS ERRA®) is a psychometrically rigorous, case-based formative assessment focused on clinical decision-making skills. Results support individualized learning plans early in training. Enrollment ends June 5.

Complementing this assessment, the ACS Fundamentals of Surgery Curriculum® (ACS FSC®) delivers more than 100 interactive, case-based scenarios across essential content areas, helping interns across all surgical specialties build confidence and critical thinking skills from day one.

For Senior Residents

The ACS Senior Resident Readiness Assessment (ACS SRRA) evaluates complex decision-making using a validated key-features methodology, providing actionable feedback to support the transition to greater autonomy. SRRA administration has been moved 3 months earlier than in 2025 to provide timelier results. Enrollment ends June 5.

The ACS Cognitive Simulations: Cases Essential to Surgical Practice (CogSim) curriculum further strengthens advanced clinical reasoning through realistic patient scenarios spanning core areas of general surgery. Note: FSC and CogSim now offer bundled pricing, and programs can receive CogSim at 50% off when they purchase FSC.

All four programs target surgical program directors seeking structured, outcomes-focused educational solutions. Watch your email inbox for details and demonstration opportunities.
