How to Become a Medical Student Member

Complete the online application for Medical Student membership. If you created an account from a prior purchase, use your login credentials to access the application. Otherwise you will need to create an account.

Step 1: Confirm Your Eligibility

Medical Student Membership is available to students currently enrolled in an accredited allopathic or osteopathic medical school in the United States, Canada, and international countries.

Step 2: Gather What You’ll Need

Have the following ready before starting your application. All documents must be in English.

  • Information about your medical education.
  • Verification that you are currently enrolled in medical school. 
  • Information about your graduate degree.

Step 3: Create or Log Into Your ACS Account

To apply, you’ll need an ACS account.

Step 4: Fees and Dues

Application Fee: $20

Annual dues are not required. 

Your ACS Medical Student membership is valid for the 4 years that you are enrolled in medical school. After graduation, you MUST apply to become a Resident Member. There is no cost to transition membership categories. 

Step 5: Submit Your Application

Applications are accepted year-round.
