Membership Fees and Dues

Fees and dues must be paid in US dollars. International (excluding Canada) fees and dues are adjusted according to the World Bank income categories.

*Dues are adjusted for Fellows who satisfy any of the requirements below:

Fellows who are bona fide missionaries may have their dues waived while serving as missionaries.
U.S. Fellows may qualify for a 50% military dues discount if they are either (1) active duty military or (2) currently deployed as a reservist or national guard. Eligible Fellows should contact dues@facs.org and provide a copy of their current orders and their membership status will be updated and the discount applied to their annual dues.

**All PGY-1s/Interns have their Resident application fee waived.

Additional Information

Regulations pertaining to fellowship dues and fees
Fellowship is subject to termination by the Board of Regents in October if dues are outstanding for more than one year.
Dues statements for Fellows are mailed in November, and dues are payable by January 31.

Membership Dues for Senior Fellows

Fellows who have consistently maintained their membership and paid dues through their 70th birthday will have their membership dues waived beginning the following year. This benefit honors your longstanding dedication to the American College of Surgeons and our shared commitment to advancing surgical excellence.

Membership Dues for Retired Fellows

Fellows who have fully retired and no longer engaged in professional activities are eligible for a dues waiver. Regardless of age, Retired Fellows remain exempt from membership dues and retain all the privileges of Fellowship. To apply for retired status, please contact us at dues@facs.org or call 1-877-277-0036.
