Symposium for Research in Surgical Palliative Care

Thursday, May 8, 2025 | 7:00–8:30 pm CT

The ACS Division of Education is pleased to announce the ninth annual ACS Symposium for Research in Surgical Palliative Care which will be held virtually on Thursday, May 8, 2025, from 7:00–8:30 pm CT. We look forward to again offering “quick shot” style presentations with respondents, and a lively exchange of ideas among the many attendees.

We invite you to submit an abstract to be considered for inclusion in this year's Symposium. Submissions related to palliative care in quality improvement, innovations in care processes, education, outcomes research, qualitative studies, and ongoing works-in-progress are welcome. Please note that each presentation will be limited to five minutes to allow for diverse topics and rich response and discussion.

Abstracts should be submitted as a single-page PDF document including the title of the presentation, name(s) of the presenter and any co-authors, and a brief synopsis consisting of background, methods, results (preliminary or expected results for works in process are acceptable), and conclusions. Abstracts must be submitted by Thursday, February 27, 2025, at 5 pm CT. They will then be forwarded to our selection committee for review, and those selected to present will be notified in early April.
