For Residents

The ACS ERRA should be considered a low-stakes assessment. Its intent is to help you and your program director to gain a better sense of your strengths and areas for improvement regarding your clinical decision-making and actions. Consider the ACS ERRA a “snapshot” of your decision-making at this phase of your career; it is an education tool whose outcomes are intended to make you a stronger, safer surgeon.

In July, you will receive an individualized report designed to help you recognize specific areas of strengths and areas for improvement. Reports will help you to develop learning plans to address areas identified in your score report.

An Individual Learning Plan (ILP) template is included with each individual score report. The template is designed to facilitate conversations between the program director and resident to help define focused learning goals and to identify specific actions to take.

What can the ACS ERRA do for me?
