Who Should Attend and What’s Included?

Registration is open to all physicians and individuals in the healthcare field and includes a name badge, program book, meals, coffee breaks, and entrance to the exhibits and all sessions.

Attendees must work at an Accredited Education Institute (AEI) at the time of registration to receive the AEI Member rate. Your status will be verified during registration.

*An AEI Simulation Education Fellow is an individual who is currently enrolled in an ACS-accredited Fellowship Program. Your status will be verified during registration.

**The American College of Surgeons offers discounted registration fees for AEI member and nonmember residents, medical students, and academic engineers.

A Retired ACS Fellow is an individual who has notified the College, meets the ACS definition of Retired, has been granted Retired status, and is officially listed in the ACS database as Retired. The ACS definition of a Retired member is a surgeon who is not in the active practice of providing surgical or nonsurgical patient care, participating in funded research, or performing compensated teaching or administrative duties. Questions about Retired member status should be directed to dues@facs.org.

††Industry employees who do not want to exhibit but would like to attend educational programming may register at this rate. Industry employees do not qualify for the AEI Nonmember rate and are not eligible to claim CME. In addition, industry employees are prohibited from providing product-promotional materials or product-specific advertisements of any kind during the accredited educational event. Industry employees also cannot influence the content of the CME program in any way, during their attendance at the event.

Registration Details

Cancelation Policy

All meeting participants must notify ACS Registration Services to cancel their registration. A handling fee of $100 will be deducted for all cancelations. Refund requests must be received by e-mail no later than February 1, 2023. No refunds will be given thereafter. Credit card refunds will be processed as received, check refunds will be processed 3–4 weeks after the conclusion of the meeting.

Meeting Attire

Business attire is appropriate for all meeting sessions.

Recordings

This program will be electronically recorded by the ACS-AEI Program. By attendance and/or participation in discussions, registrants agree that ACS may electronically copy, record, and distribute registrants’ attendance at and involvement in the program discussion and question-and-answer periods. No individual or entity other than the ACS may electronically record any portion of this program for any purpose without consent of the ACS.

Photography

Attendance at this meeting constitutes consent to be photographed for use in print and/or electronic publicity. Attendees who do not wish to have their image recorded for distribution should make their wishes known before the meeting.

By attending, you agree to abide by and engage in certain health-and-safety-beneficial conduct while attending the event. This includes but is not limited to being fully vaccinated for COVID-19 (completion of their primary series), wearing a mask in public areas when in close contact to others if deemed appropriate, engaging in appropriate physical distancing and not attending the event if you are ill or have been recently exposed to COVID-19.

ACS will continually review global conditions and reserves the right to update and/or change this policy as needed at any time.

If you begin to feel ill or manifest symptoms once you are onsite at the meeting, please isolate and contact registration@facs.org to let us know that you cannot attend due to illness.
