ACS/ASE Medical Student Simulation-Based Surgical Skills Curriculum

The American College of Surgeons (ACS) and the Association for Surgical Education (ASE) have partnered to develop the ACS/ASE Medical Student Simulation-based Surgical Skills Curriculum. Its 25 modules teach clinical skills ranging from taking a history and physical and signing out a patient to inserting a central venous line with ultrasound guidance. The topics are aligned based on the year during which they are most commonly taught. This resource is free to medical students.

Poster Abstracts

Poster session

Abstract submissions are due June 9, 2017. Medical students attending the ACS Clinical Congress are invited to attend the Medical Student Program Poster Session on Sunday, October 22, during which 48 students will present their research. Resident and surgeon volunteers will critique these presentations, and winners will be recognized during Tuesday’s session on October 24.
