Representatives from 28 Boston-area hospitals were present on Wednesday, October 25, for a celebration ceremony honoring their hospitals’ commitment to the highest quality of surgical care. The event took place during the American College of Surgeons (ACS) Clinical Congress 2023 in Boston, October 22-25.
During the event, Patricia L. Turner, MD, MBA, FACS, Executive Director & CEO of the ACS, and Clifford Y. Ko, MD, MS, MSHS, FACS, FASCRS, Director of the ACS Division of Research and Optimal Patient Care, presented each institution with a Surgical Quality Partner diamond plaque, which they can proudly display in their institution, signaling to patients and the community their commitment to providing the highest quality surgical care for all.
These Boston-area hospitals are participants in at least one of 13 ACS Quality Programs, which are the definitive measure of a hospital’s surgical quality and use the best data, expert input, and proven processes to help surgical care teams deliver exceptional care.
