American College Of Surgeons - Inspiring Quality: Highest Standards, Better Outcomes

NAPRC Releases New Standards Manual, Upgraded Portal

The National Accreditation Program for Rectal Cancer (NAPRC) is pleased to announce the release of Optimal Resources for Rectal Cancer Care (2020 Standards) and an upgraded portal to manage NAPRC accreditation.

The Optimal Resources for Rectal Cancer Care (2020 Standards) includes updates to accreditation standards and a new format that aligns with the Commission on Cancer (CoC) and other American College of Surgeons (ACS) accreditation and verification quality programs.

The ACS Quality Portal for NAPRC (NAPRC QPort) is also now available for NAPRC applicant and accredited programs. Programs that applied under the previous system will receive an email with additional information and instructions for action items to complete the transition to the new system. The NAPRC section of CoC Datalinks will eventually be retired.

Several resources are available on the NAPRC website related to the new standards and quality portal:

An additional webinar to address submitted questions on the 2020 NAPRC Standards and the new NAPRC Quality Portal will be held on August 26 at 12:00 noon (CST). Registration is required for the webinar. Please submit your questions by 12:00 noon (CST) on Friday, August 7, 2020.
