GeneQIP: Genetic Testing Quality Improvement Project

GeneQIP (Genetic Testing Quality Improvement Project) is a 2-year quality collaborative designed to increase genetic testing rates while also promoting the provision of high-quality genetic care. Current guidelines recommend genetic testing for all newly diagnosed breast patients and genetic testing for newly diagnosed colorectal cancer patients age 50 and under. Patients are best served when genetic information is interpreted and delivered by providers with the requisite expertise.

As a participant, you will have the opportunity to learn from national expert and peer programs from around the country and receive extensive support from ACS Cancer programs for your local QI efforts.

The aim of this project is to increase the number of newly diagnosed breast cancer patients and/or increase the number of newly diagnosed rectal cancer patients undergoing genetic testing by 20% from baseline at CoC/NAPBC/NAPRC programs from January 2027 to December 2028.
