Verified Geriatric Surgery Hospitals
The Geriatric Surgery Verification Program verifies the standards in the Optimal Resources for Geriatric Surgery have been met at participating hospitals. Hospitals seeking a Level 1 or Level 2 verified status must demonstrate that they meet the requirements for the 30 mandatory standards. This is a voluntary process and only hospitals that have successfully completed a verification application, site visit, and met the criteria established by the American College of Surgeons (ACS) are listed below.

Commitment Level Geriatric Surgery Hospitals
The Geriatric Surgery Verification Program offers hospitals pledging to improve geriatric surgical care and working toward implementing the standards in the Optimal Resources for Geriatric Surgery an opportunity to participate in the Commitment Level. This level has been developed for hospitals that would benefit from additional guidance and time in order to meet the GSV Standards. Although no site visit or verification of the standards will be performed at the commitment level, hospitals are expected to be actively preparing for verification for up to a maximum of 24 months. At the conclusion of this 24-month period, Commitment Level hospitals are expected to reapply for either Level 1 or Level 2 Verification status.
