The ACS hosted a 30-minute webinar to explain the CMS Age Friendly Hospital Measure and answer questions about how the GSV program can help hospitals prepare to meet this new regulatory requirement beginning in January 2025.

Modern Healthcare recently wrote about the CMS Age Friendly Hospital Measure and the ACS GSV Program:

“This approach has the potential to improve care and constrain spending, based on the results of a similar American College of Surgeons initiative …. Participants in the American College of Surgeons Geriatric Surgery Verification program recorded shorter lengths of stay, lower rates of complications such as postoperative delirium and fewer readmissions, according to a report the Annals of Surgery Open published in May.”
