American College Of Surgeons - Inspiring Quality: Highest Standards, Better Outcomes

Surgeon Specific Registry

About the Surgeon Specific Registry

The American College of Surgeons (ACS) has launched the new Surgeon Specific Registry (SSR). Login to the new ACS SSR (please use your new username and password received from

The ACS SSR is an online software application and database that allows surgeons to track their cases and outcomes in a convenient, easy-to-use manner from their computer or mobile devices (iOS and Android). The SSR builds on the ACS Case Log system, enabling surgeons not only to log and keep track of their cases, but also participate in an increasing number of regulatory programs for the individual health care professional.

It is becoming increasingly recognized that a database specific for surgeons is needed for a variety of different initiatives, and the SSR has been refined to continue addressing many of the regulatory requirements for individual surgeons. The system supports Part 4 of Maintenance of Certification (MOC) and provides for electronic transmittal of cases to the American Board of Surgery (ABS) for recertification. The SSR also continues to work closely with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to implement the Quality Payment Program (QPP) Merit-Based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) for the 2017 program year (see below for more information).

The SSR is currently free of charge for ACS surgeon members as a membership benefit and resource. The SSR is also available to non-ACS surgeon members as a subscription package. SSR is hosted by QuintilesIMS.
