I first became interested in the fascinating world of congenital cardiac surgery following the repair of my own heart defect in 2020 by Dr. Pedro del Nido. I was later fortunate to be involved in research in Dr. Tara Karamlou's Congenital Cardiac Surgery Lab in the Heart and Vascular Institute at the Cleveland Clinic. My career interests revolve around a commitment to academic medicine, a passion for impactful research as a surgeon-scientist, and a dedication to providing medical services to underserved populations worldwide.
