Kaiser Sadiq, MBBS, is a general surgery resident at UC Irvine with a strong interest in surgical education and research. He earned his medical degree from JIPMER, one of India’s premier medical schools, and practiced as a general physician before relocating to the United States for surgical training. He completed a research fellowship at UC San Diego prior to his internship at the George Washington University. In addition to his clinical training, Dr. Sadiq serves as Vice Chair of the RAS-ACS Membership Workgroup and holds appointments on several national committees, including the SAGES guidelines committee, SAGES Metabolic & Bariatric Committee, SSAT research committee, ASE publications task force, and the American Journal of Surgery STARS Committee. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed articles and is seeking a categorical general surgery position to complete his training.
