Biography

Matthias Paireder is the director of the Surgery Department at the Hospital of the Divine Saviour in Vienna. He was a member of the Upper Gastrointestinal Research Group at the Medical University of Vienna. His main field of interest is esophagogastric surgical oncology and anti-reflux surgery. His publications contributed highly relevant evidence regarding risk stratification after esophageal surgery and new surgical techniques in antireflux surgery.
