Benjamin Castro, MD

Dr. Benjamin Castro is a highly skilled physician who completed accelerated medical school at the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Medicine in 2017 and subsequently undertook residency training in General Surgery at Orlando Regional Medical Center. Following residency, he pursued further specialization through a fellowship in Bariatric and Minimally Invasive Surgery at the University of Missouri. Dr. Castro has been a valued member of the CoxHealth team since 2024. He is dedicated to providing comprehensive and compassionate care to his patients through their weight loss journey via a minimally invasive approach to ensure optimal health outcomes. Outside of the medical profession, Dr. Castro enjoys spending time with his family, cooking, scuba diving, backpacking, paddle boarding, biking, and running.
