Tyler Loftus, MD FACS

Tyler J. Loftus, MD, PhD, is a trauma and acute care surgeon and associate professor with the University of Florida Department of Surgery. His NIH-sponsored research focusing on machine-learning enabled postoperative triage decision-making overlaps with the healthcare quality domain, in which he serves as an Assistant Chair of Quality for the University of Florida Department of Surgery. Dr. Loftus is passionate about advancing medical student and resident education and technical skills development through advanced simulation while serving as Program Director for the General Surgery Residency at the University of Florida.
