Taiwo Akeem Lawal, MBBS FACS

A surgeon who is passionate about the surgical care of children in underserved communities; focused on the epidemiology, prevention and treatment of birth defects in children and is energized to advance surgical education both locally and across the globe. I have the distinct honor of being trained in the best tradition of medical education and had my postgraduate surgical training and education under the tutelage of some of the best experts in the field of surgery and pediatric surgery in Nigeria, Germany and the United States. As a fellow of both the American College of Surgeons and the West African College of Surgeons, I see the patient as the center of my day to day practice and the medical student and resident doctor as my immediate mentees; hence I am committed to offering the best surgical care to my patients and ensuring that my trainees are brought up in the best and noblest ways of our surgical tradition.
